I am here for Friends

About Me

What about me? I'm a what is known as a hardcore browncoat (if you haven't seen Serenity/Firefly, go get it. Now. Seriously, why are you still here???) I live fairly happily in the 'nati w/ the love of my life Brad and several cats. (yeah, I said cats bitch!) We spend much time watching movies, and I read a lot as well. We both work, so when we're not attending GOP rallies, we like to climb mountains, off road in our H3 and hunt tigers. Mostly, we just stay at home and watch our Tivoed cache of Hannity and Colmes.

My Interests

I'm a freelance makeup artist, and I manage a Victoria's Secret BEAUTY store (read: we have no bras, panties, lingerie- ALL WE DO is makeup, fragrance and bodycare.) I've been doing makeup professionally for like, 11 years, so yeah, I'm VERY good. I mean damn, it's makeup. If you're not good after 11 years, you need to change jobs! There's some photos of my work in my pics, if you're interested...

I'd like to meet:

Joss Whedon, Orson Scott Card, David Chapelle, George Lucas (so I can ask why? why?? WHY???) David Gilmour in the early 70's:

any of the dudes from my favorite bands (RIP Syd.) My Grandmother Mary Louise, the cast of Firefly/Serenity,god this seems shallow...

Music:

The Cure.Pink Floyd.Ben Folds.BNL.Guster.Depeche Mode.Yonder Mountain String Band.Led Zepplin.Allman Brothers.Green Day.Red Hot Chili Peppers.andlotsofotherstuff.

Movies:

Television:

Firefly was the greatest show Fox ever prematurely cancelled. Arrested Developement too, what is with these fox assholes? Also, anything else Joss Whedon does: Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. X-Files was great, though I can't say the same about prematurity. I did once have a "Starfleet Academy" sticker on my car. So there's that. Now? Scrubs, Daily Show, Colbert Report, The Office, My Name is Earl, Entourage, Big Love, Simpsons, Family Guy, Southpark, Boondocks, Good Eats, Weeds, And I want to be a member of the T.A.P.S family!

Books:

Pretty much anything by Orson Scott Card, OF COURSE Harry Potter, Lots of classic Sci-fi. And now I'm all into this graphic novel "Y-the last man". I'm pretty cute for a geek huh? Since I studied English and Theatre I like all of that Shakespeare and Chaucer stuff (middle not old english, please!) Really, I'll read pretty much anything. Case in point, just finished "Da Vinci Code." Entertaining, but people really need help books for this?

Heroes:

um....does it make you shallow if you have no "heros"?
