About Me

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone! Sure, I'm only a few months late in getting back in touch, but I've just been out of the count in terms of online shenanigans, so apologies and cheers at the same time.I'm currently in a bit of a limbo with regards to where I'm going with my life, and have been for some time, but I should be pretty well organised within the next week or two.Until then, there's not much I can add to the page (and 'm deleting everything else) although I still love the music, so that can stay :D

My Interests

Music:

A bit of everything, literally. I like some classical, some pop-rock stuff, some world and folk music, and a whole lot of metal. I'll post up a list of all that I listen so I can show off and be big-headed but I don't really have the time at the minute.Basically my favourite bands of all time would be My Dying Bride and Anathema. I also love Tristania, After Forever, The Gathering, Peccatum, Kidneythieves, Therion, Emperor, Amon Amarth, Falkenbach, Finntroll, Ram-Zet, Callenish Circle, Opeth, Indigent (this guy is so unbelievably good. He really is, visit his page if Death/ Doom-Metal is your type of thing.) Remembrance and Thorr's Hammer are also great, as are Rasputina and Scarling (for different reasons.) I also like some Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Portishead, John Lennon, Riverside, Kasabian, Keane, Faun and even some of Katie Melua's stuff.I dislike Dragonforce a lot. It's stupid, irritating and generally crap. The fact that the musicianship is good only fuels my dislike, if you have talent, use it to make something that actually sounds good rather than just astounds people through sheer speed. Also, people who can't distinguish between genres in music irritate me, especially if they continue to use the wrong genre knowingly. For example, the Black Dahlia Murder is NOT Black metal. Martin Grech. You have to admit he's awesome, and if you don't admit to that, then you've blatantly never heard of him or just suck in general. I've recently been listening to a lot of stuff like Necrophagist, Cannibal Corpse, Abyssic Hate, Decapitated, Dismember, Lykathea Aflame (now known as Lykathé), Necrophagia and lots more similar stuff. Also, a lot of Frederick Chopin and Death Cab for Cutie :DOh yeh, and I've only just bothered listening to Epica for the first time, and really like the track 'Veniality.'My holiday was spent listening to Pendulum and 'Walk this Land' by the EZ Rollers, that track is awesome. You'll have heard it if you've ever seen Lock, Stock and Two Smokin Barrels (which is also pretty good). I was also listening to Siebenburgen, Miranda Sex Garden and Tvangeste for much of time. Antimatter, Asmegin, the Prodigy, Orphaned Land, Astarte, Anorexia Nervosa, work by Hans Zimmer and Mark Isham, Meredith Monk, Jarboe and Diamanda Galas, Emperor, Cathedral, Isis, Pelican, Dredg, Arcade Fire, Leftfield, Korpiklaani, Season's End, Sigh, Sigur Ros, The Postal Service, Lacrimosa, Longing for Dawn, Sahg, Radiohead, Tenhi, Alanis Morisette, Hollenthon, Hypocrisy, Fungoid Stream, Dead Can Dance, Death in June, Elend and Ihsahn, to name a few more :)Agalloch ........m/

Contradictions

It's funny how you can feel more alone when you're in a relationship than you do when you're single.  When you're single you know there's no one to look out for you or to turn when you need them,...
