About Me

Hmm...I have been told that my laughter is infectious. I love outdoor activities as long as the "camping" part of it involves a cabin or some other permanent, 6-sided dwelling. Sleeping on the hard ground does not have the appeal that it once did. Ahhh, memories of camp: a sleeping bag that smells like moth balls, the nightly check for ticks and other parasites, bug bites everywhere despite the entire can of bug spray we swam in, really bad/burnt food, trying to figure out if that lump under our back is a pine cone or a rock (or worse), and the fear of that mass murderer attacking us while we slept... Wasn't packing up to go home the saddest day of our lives??!!! And we surely could not wait to go back the next year!!!Sorry, I digressed. Back to me...Some of the things I love in no particular order: ghost hunting (yep just like you see on tv), Chocolate covered strawberries, pansies (the flower not whimpy men), hot summer rain (which seems to be abundant in Houston), roller coaster rides, catching a King Salmon, spur of the moment trips, exciting Saturday nights, lazy Sunday mornings, dolphins (I have a tattoo of one, so I have really committed to loving them!), games (of the board, card, PS2, and computer kind not of the mind or head kind), love trivia pursuit and have yet to be beat, a good merlot, stimulating and intelligent conversation, trying something new, the sound and smell of the ocean (except for when the tides are doing that funky thing and it smells like dead fish), geodes, and many more...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The man for me does not have to love any of those things on my list, but he does need to love me for loving them or love me despite the fact that I love all those things. I would prefer the former to the latter! ;) Things that I love in a man: Confidence but not arrogance, direction whether it be personal or professional (or the ability to get somewhere without getting lost to make up for my directionally challenged-self), and is comfortable in jeans or slacks.Since I have moved to Houston, I have to add a few things here that I would love to have in a man: That southern charm, accent and all; someone that is willing to explore the state with me (even if they have lived here their whole life); oh and I just went to the Rennaissance Fair so if you are willing to dress up (at least on Halloween) like a Barbarian, a Knight, a Caveman, or any other alter ego that is a huge plus! :) It is not a requirement, it just lets me know that you are willing to be adventurous and fun-loving.

So over the weekend (left Friday night and drove back Sunday), I drove to Shreveport to meet my relatives.  I must say that 59N really really sucks!  Not only do you go from 70+ (in my case)...
