About Me

Disturbing the universe since 1988
Contemporary Filipino teenage man. He has a doctorate degree in procrastination. Sing to him every February 16. He always needs excitement. Certified art freak! He adores great pianists, and for him, Regina Spektor is the contemporary bomb! He has a very tiny mole on his nose. Loves surprising himself. He is still searching for his long-lost brain. He can speak several languages enough to get him into trouble. Munching champion. He can be normal actually, just give him a chance. He loves furry animals. He's a nail-biter. Harmonica and lyre player. A tennis, swimming and synchronized dancing fan. Scrabble enthusiast. A semi-loquacious, loud-voiced lad. Frequent fast-food goer. He is not a member of the Illuminati. He can legibly write upside down. He has tried to ran away from home as a child and only got as far as reaching the house gate. He has a passion for photography. He has never gone mountain climbing. He still struggles waking up. He cannot imagine himself living without God. He wants to soar. Sunrise is his themesong. This page is the product of his excessive boredom, and for visitors, it has rules . This site is also a drama-free zone, only that it contains too much verbal diarrhea. He is not hoping that he made any sense at all. So if you may, leave your worries behind and read on.
Still the youngest in a brood of three (all of them were all named Arthur), is currently on the verge of leaving his teen years, and is busy saving the planet Earth and living a life worth living.Has been living in the Philippines all his life. Still loving it here but has high hopes of visiting international territories someday. A certified Amazing Race addict and a photo geek. He even dreamed of becoming a flight attendant in the future just so he can travel around the world for free plus earn some high salary. All in all, he aspires for world domination. Aren't we more than conquerors? He is also an incoming college senior of the University of the Philippines. And after 2 intense years of straightening crooked possible career paths and shifting from two major disciplines, he is now settled to finish three degrees: economics, philosophy and sociology... courses he never imagined of ever taking. However, he is still inclined to be a lawyer someday so he can dish out some courtroom dramas. If that won't materialize, darn, you betta give me a job. Haha!
Here is his principle: In every situation, we can always say that we can't do anything about it anymore so we just give up and follow what everyone does. But this is unacceptable at most times. Fine... maybe, our voices may not be loud enough but it will be so if it finds an echo in the voices of others. Our opinions may not be dazzling enough but it will be so if it will ignite or light the passions of others. If we do not raise our voices now, we will just perpetuate the glooming silence. If we do not light the fire now, we will just deepen the looming darkness. And if we do not try our very best to make things better, we will only make things worse. You don't necessarily need to die for your principles. What you should only do is to live for them. You know what, heroes do not become heroes by thinking that they should do heroic acts. Heroes become heroes because they promised that they will do the right things. And as you know, doing the right things is one of the hardest things to do, and that makes their deeds and acts heroic. -Conrado De Quiros
If you don't accept him for who he is, it is your freaking loss, not his. He's actually a human metaphor so figure that one out. He is also a kind person, like really. Some say he is oozing with ideas and that he still needs to verify. Some say he's weird, some find him funny, some find him an outcast but trust me, they're all wrong. Also, he loves pigging out, travelling, undertaking risky adventures, making people smile, stalking homo sapiens, singing out of tune, doing shameful dance moves, reading literature like a geek, wasting time doing nothing, gulping Mountain Dew, creating sparks, walking barefoot, acting like a 10-year old cretin, welcoming the sunshine and saying farewell to the world with the sunset. I love dreaming and I have so many dreams. They may be all hard to achieve but I won't give up on them.
He detests too much religious talk, close-minded/judgmental people, societal conformity and utter disrespect in any form. He loves God. More than anything else. But He doesn't love a God that is so far-away. He loves an infinitely-loving God that is so close and very relevant. He also admires simple but striving people... those people whose deeds are unsung but is never willing to give up at all costs. To all those people who stood, is still, and will continually stand up for Christ 'til the very end, always remember that your efforts won't be in vain. It is not about being a freak or something, it is about living a life whose worth will far outlast any human conception of time and space. His greatest fear is to end up dying someday but is still lost. His determined purpose is that he may know Him-- that he may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and understanding the wonders of His person more strongly and more clearly.
Everyday, he still discovers something new about himself, about other people and about life in general. So this "About Me" piece is prone to changes without prior notice. Above all, he is running a race. And he invites you to run together with others whose hearts are both brave and faithful. The finish line is promised anyway. He does add strangers but be sure that you'll talk to him once he adds you. Ghost users and total silence won't be tolerated. Myspace/other online spammers, you've all been warned: Mango trees will grow inside your stomachs once you desecrate his page. Life is awesome people, and today will be freaking great.
Lastly, his name is Arthur. Nice meeting you.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

my future self

Whoever God throws at my way will always be special. Anyone willing to at least shed a little light in a place that is just so dark. Beings whose hearts are so lost in God that I need to ask Him where I can find them. Individuals who don't forget to be a child at heart, those who can still use their colorful imagination to paint total darkness with life. Those who can laugh and bring a contagious disease called love. Those who are fighting to make a stand for what is just, right and proper, even though they really feel weak inside. And ordinary, simple people, those people who believe that they can be something in the not-so distant future but is not seeking any worldly merit. And lastly, those loving ones who will courageously run, meet and hug someone dying far-away, as their wounded hearts remain open. God bless you!
