Well, things have been pretty crappo for Rik recently, it seems I'm losing alot that's dear to me (partly through lack of thought back when it really would have counted, partly because some people are just cunts, partly because some things are unavoidable). Hoping to move to Reading early in the new year and I expect that the breakaway from London and some of it's inhabitants will do me a lot of good.
Looking forward to xmas (blates) and news years at Brixton academy should be stonking megaradsuperfuntastic.

Haven't updated this in tiiiiime. Don't really use myspace much anymore. Rather than redesign my profile I just grabbed a pen and did a few scribbles. The Routines are now officially dead. And this time we are definately not coming back. However, from the hallowed ground of The Routines grave sprouts the wonderful 60s daisy that is Roxy's Roadhouse. We got four brand spanking new songs up and you shall love em.
Also, I got a new job. Finally saying goodbye to the shoe shop and getting my career on the road.

Treating ourselves to a party at the Crown this evening (thanks Bill for that fantastic pun). Cake, live music and the piece de resistance (sp?) laughing gas. Also, got my card back, thank you danny, so I have money to get trollied on now. GO AND LISTEN TO 'SMOKE' ON THE ROUTINES MYSPACE! It's one of our new songs and it's fucking ace.

Just got in from a very enjoyable gig with The Routines at Tommy Flynn's in Camden. The Bessingbys were great fun as always, tho the other bands were verily shite. Updated The Routines myspace just now as well, new pics and that, new songs will be up shortly so check that shit out. Paul's bday 2morow will be awesome, then a BBQ on sat, then a cocktail party on sun. Good weekend for Rik, that's what Riks like best.

Today I got very wet. Firstly due to fantastical sex this fair morn, then due the fact that it was absolutely pissing it on my way to work. Hampster! (...if your not cool enough to know what I mean by hampster, then you are actually hampster.) Tonight I am to complete my ninja game on the xbox, again, then get a decent nights rest so i'll be happy clappy for recording - work - new IT course tomorrow. Good Pie.

I'm not very good at this 'keeping a log' thing. Had two gigs back with The Routines, a nice lively show to a packed room at The Good Ship, and a more intimate acoustic set at The Cuban. So happy to have the old band back. My new band has disbanded before even recording songs or playing a show, which is a shame, we had some ace choons. In other news, i love my girlfriend and i really like my new haircut. lol. safe.

That time of the year has come around again, time for me to get a hair cut. This is like a bi-annual ceremony for me and i always get scared that it's gonna turn out shit. Never-the-less, it must be done. Gonna find it hard to break the news to that family of pigeons that they have to find a new home. Also, Rosie's bday. Mega uber hella massive messiness. Safe.

Now it's May. 10 months since i graduated, what the fuck have i actually done with almost a whole year?! I've met some awesome people and had some awesome times, but I've got no money, no career, no car... need to sort myself out. Hmmmmm, seems I'm feeling a little introspective this morning. Realised I didn't log yesterday. Didn't do much. Got to see Liz for like an hour before she disappeared off to northampton, which was nice. Today gots a photoshoot with the band, and our last rehearsal before we get back into gigging. Muchly excited. Safe.

Today I have an appointment with a recruitment agency, so hopefully by this evening I will be a few steps closer to getting a full-time job. Decided I'm over-qualified for working in a shoe shop. Then I get a lovely chilled evening in with the gf. Awesome good.
