On March 2nd Los Angeles celebrated its 23rd Marathon. It was a blast! I was very fortunate to get invited to cover it LIVE from mile 4. This was my 3rd year being involved in the live coverage hosted by NBC/ TELEMUNDO. The vive and enery from thousands of people running and high-fiving me along the way was contagious and invigorating. Young and old, in-shape and not so much came together to run a staggering 26-MILES. My best friend Vera Jimenez(CBS 2)joined the hopeful runners this year making it that much more special. She crossed the finish line in an impressive in 4 hours 22 minutes and 8 seconds!!! I do not think I will ever run it myself, but I sure hope to be involved next year as well.
