Niterói, 1999. Em uma quadra de basquete do campus da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), dois amigos costumavam se reunir para colocar seus assuntos em dia... Aficionados pelo rap, estes jovens decidem colocar em prática um desejo incontrolável, porém, inovador se visto pelo angulo comportamental da grande maioria adepta ao gênero. Além de temas óbvios como violência, drogas, racismo e problemas sociais, tinham em mente a proposta de não apenas apontar tais problemas, mas também soluções visíveis e positivas, tanto para a carne, quanto que para o espírito: a Palavra de Deus! Eis que surge então o grupo Manuscritos...!
Vocais cortantes e de verbalização aglutinada, que interpretavam assuntos polêmicos do cotidiano associados a uma receita de solução libertadora, em bases instrumentais marcantes e bem elaboradas, produzidas por Dj Scooby e RB, se tornam o passaporte do grupo no meio underground, que o abraça por sua originalidade. À partir daí, o Manuscritos expande o seu conceito missionário levando a Palavra do Cristo Libertador à uma juventude sem perspectivas, influenciando inclusive a conversão de K-Paz, que posteriormente veio a integrar-se também como membro, e mais à frente, oriundo das rodas de batalhas de rima da Lapa (Centro-RJ), MC Loko.
Sendo um dos grupos percussores do rap gospel no Rio de Janeiro, se apresenta com muita freqüência no circuito cultural do Rio de Janeiro, sempre abrindo o show do Pregador Luo e Apocalipse 16 pelo estado do Rio de Janeiro e já esteve outros estados como São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo e Brasília, o Manuscritos fez merecer os convites para grandes eventos.
Contudo, seria pretensão atribuir a popularidade do Manuscritos simplesmente pelas participações musicais junto a estes. É importante ressaltar que o grupo, em nenhum momento, permaneceu em estado de ostracismo aguardando a oportunidade bater em sua porta, pelo contrário, a certeza de transformação que os impulsionou à decisão ao lado de Cristo, é a mesma que os permite divulgar este acontecimento a todos os homens, independente de seu credo cor ou raça!

Being one of the groups percussores of the rap gospel in Rio de Janeiro, he/she comes with a lot of frequency in the cultural circuit of Rio de Janeiro, always opening Preacher's Luo show and Apocalipse 16 for the state of the Rio de Janeiro and it was already other states like São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Brasília, the Manuscritos made to deserve the invitations for great events in Brazil.
However, it would be pretension to attribute the popularity of the Manuscritos simply for the musical participations close to these. It is important to stand out that the group, in any moment, stayed in state of ostracism awaiting the opportunity to beat in his/her door, on the contrary, the transformation certainty that impelled them to the decision beside Christ, is the same that it allows to publish them this event the all of the men, independent of his/her credo color or race!
