Add to My Profile | More Videos****************************************************** *************Buenas Dias! The name's Miles George, and I've carried the stage name 'Cu-Cu' since 1998, the same year I started writing and recording. I usually try and carry out an interesting and different sound, and my genres have definately evolved over the span of eight years. I have varied from organ rock, to Yamaha synthesizer pop, to Latin pop/rock, back to pop/rock, moving over to mellow piano pop and electric soul, now stuck in experimental noise rock. My recordings over the years have mainly been from an old analog tape recorder, until I finally received a four track tape recorder about three years ago. That, of course, gave me more opportunities to experiment and try new things with my music; taking it in new and exciting directions. The basement has always been my climate to try out new sounds and explore new barriers of myself. It was confusing for me to find a true genre for myself, and it has been fairly difficult for me to explain to people the kind of music I wrote. I tried to create an explanation, saying that I was a rusty robot with super powers and human emotions, but that didn't quite fit with anything I was trying to say. So, instead of telling people, I finally started playing shows with my good friend Mike Wagner on guitars. My setup usually includes a Radioshack keyboard (props to Radioshack), tubular xylophone, Little Tikes toy piano, ukelele, balalaika (Russian mandolin), and various means of percussion. You may have also seen me do drums and vocals with the band Aperture (R.I.P.) with Martin Freeman (qisyc), Tim Wilson (A Wonderful), Tim Munier and Kurt Nye. Hope you enjoy the evolution!
