***************************Well i'm Charly from Norwich for those of you i haven't met yet!! hehe & a huge fan of British rock band 'ROADSTAR'...I first saw them when they supported The Darkness back in January 06, as it was a sell out gig i didn't manage to sqeeze my way to the front :o( but was able to see them from a distance!! ...they owned the stage as if it were their own...belted out a rockin' sound & interacted with the crowd...true pro's!!After their set, i was straight to the merchandise stand to buy a copy of their 'Get This' EP & thats where it all started for me & i've been hooked ever since!!(February - July 06)...they've supported the likes of Thunder on their U.K tour, Queensryche @ Manchester Academy 1, The Who @ O2 wireless festival in Leeds, they were the opening act for Monsters of Rock 2006 @ Milton Keynes Bowl (thats where new band mate Andy Young aka 'Sid Glover' joined them after Kreepys departure)...& they supported The Darkness yet again in Liverpool @ The Big Top Arena....in September i went along to the Guitarfest in Birmingham where Roadstar played an acoustic set, having never heard them play like that before i didn't know what to expect, as it also didn't feel right sitting down watching them perform... but as usual they delivered a cracking set & it's something i'd like to see them do again!!
...for anyone not lucky enough to have gone to the Guitarfest, there is a video of 'Last Survivor' on this page (if it doesn't play too good, there is another copy of it in the 'blog' section)(October - November)...was the start of their mostly sold out co-headling U.K tour with The Answer with Rosehill Drive supporting them half way though the tour.
