About Me

Bio for Jessica and Johnny (by Adam Overton, Aug 2006)I know you'd know I'd be shittin' you if I told you that Jessica and Johnny were twins separated at birth. They're most certainly not, not related in the least, not even dating, two worlds apart, maybe even three, and they even talk different from one another. But neither his twang nor her drawl will prevent me from too loudly announcing the obvious, that Johnny and Jessica are a unit to be reckoned with, a synergy to taste and devour, monster-truck-style. Keep their nation of two in the corner of your ear if you too fear that good grace and right thought are not enough to save our souls amidst a hypnotic flashing landscape of evangelical Mozart Effectivism. Yes, they are believers composed of flesh and blood like you and I and us, and suffer like you and I and us, and celebrate in the splendor of musical cold showerism too, yet their resonance deafens the eyes, and I, spectator-man, am medusified into stonish drool upon that fateful glance, as I listen... Magic, have you witnessed magic, friend? Well this is not magic, but bright light nonetheless as they feast upon the fruits of creation, bleeding-heart animists to the end, bending down and over and giving birth, observing life, momentarily resurrecting the dead and dusty, our composerly stillborn. God forgive them, for they understand not what gives them good cause and meek forwardness, and God forgive us, for we subscribe to their microworld all too drunkenly, desperately, and eager to drink of this duo.
