I love full-length feature films...old and new, and I must admit that I love musicals. Here are a few of the hundreds... The Shooter,Blood Diamond, The Last King of Scotland, Smokin' Aces, Cat on a Hot tin Roof, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, Singin' in the Rain, The Giant,Gone with the Wind,Love Story,Oklahoma,Urban Cowboy, The Karate Kid, Titanic, Legends of the Fall, The Lost Boys, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Father of the Bride(old and new and the sequels), American Grafitti, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, American Gigolo, Braveheart, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Forrest Gump, Pretty Woman,Last of the Mohicans, The Ten Commandments, Wizard of Oz, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach... I assure you. There are hundreds. I have favorites in each genre.
I like watching alot of home decorating on a budget. When my TV is on...the channel is usually switched to HGTV. My new favorite is Heroes, and I must confess my dirty secret...I watch American Idol,Nashville Star, Dancing with the Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance!

My favorites right now are the Harry Potter Series. Haven't gotten to read the newest one, but my children have it. Most of the books I get to read lately have been for 3 and 4 year olds...books like The Halloweiner. It's about a weiner dog that dresses up as a hot dog for Halloween!

Mamaw and Papaw nickednamed me Miss Scarlet when I was 16. Hoop skirts were popular for prom. When my high school sweetheart, Steven, invited me to his, I wore a dress that would have made Scarlett O'Hara green with envy. The beginning of the evening was a prime example of Murphy's Law. Steven arrived about 45 minutes late. When we tried to leave, his new Monte Carlo wouldn't start. Papaw decided we should take his old, blue toyota truck. We finally drove around the corner and down the hill from my grandparents house. It was then that Steven said something that hurt my feelings. Looking back now, I honestly don't remember what he said, but that night it was the last straw. I yelled, "Stop the truck!" I got out of the truck, yanked that hoop skirt up above my knees, and marched back up the hill to my grandparent's house. I could see Mamaw and Papaw standing under the carport watching me as I stomped toward the back door. We did manage to make it to the prom that night, but we were a little late. Mamaw said I earned my nickname that night because I looked just like Miss Scarlet coming back up that hill...hoop skirt, pout and all.
