FinalCause,
I didn't cop The Hard Road and call myself a rapper.
I didn't spend my tax cheque on a bunch of new studio equipment that i don't know how to operate.
My setup is a laptop connected to a hi-fi with 3 sets of speakers through my integrated line out port. No interface. No Monitors, ears like motion sensors. FL Studio 7&8 10's of 1000's of samples on my external which has been dropped more than that shit cunt that ya know from the suburb over.
I had my first taste of hip hop in 1994, watching writers paint a huge wall in an alley behind my primary school in Gepps Cross. Got in trouble by the teacher on duty for picking up an empty can...what a rebel.
Started listening to Hip Hop full on in the later years of primary school with the older kids, probably around 1998/99. Then started writing poorly constructed bars in 2001 and reciting them with an american accent.
Downloaded a copy of FL Studio 3 and started making the worst loops you've ever heard, but was on it nearly every day and has now become the cornerstone of my music, not downloading every version since 3.
Dropped the accent when i got my first taste of Australian hip hop, copping Culture Of Kings Volume 1, Capricorn Cat, Left Foot Right Foot and others.
Kept writing throughout high school, spending the majority of my time in the music rooms, making beats on FL Studio 5 that they provided. Recorded my first tracks with Legacy on a multi-track minidisc recorder with SM58's in a room with the worst accoustics i've ever heard.
First rocked the stage in 2007 and have since shared it with acts such as: Def Wish Cast, Delta, Staen1, Mortar, After Hours, Drapht, Bingethinkers, Mata & Must, Headstrong Company, Kolaps, Illuminate, Social Change, Dialect, K21, Mind Over Matter and others.
Signed to Whole Collection Records in 2008 and have collaborated on the A&P: As Prescribed CD which selected tracks will be pressed to 7" this year. I am currently working on my Debut EP - THE PROPAGANDA EP, which will be available this year. The album will be produced by myself, DJ Danger (JBL/More Thorts/WCR) and A-Kay (WCR) and will feature Progress. Look out for it and stay tuned for updates.
Word is born. Whole Collect in Effect.
