Phuturistix

Phuturistix, otherwise known as Zed Bias and Injekta, head up the Phuture Lounge operation as label bosses and executive producers at the PL Studio. Over the years, as Phuturistix, Zed and Injekta have pioneered some seriously twisted soul music that is unmistakably British. The 'Matrix EP' and 2001's Deep Down EP for Locked On was quite unlike any of the UKG before it and their debut album project Feel It Out dropped in September 2003 on the much respected Hospital Records. Featuring the combined talents of Jenna G, Amma, Nicky Prince, Martin Iveson (Atjazz) Amma and the secret weapon that is MR J, it painted a bigger picture, combining the depth of soul and jazz-past with the tuff swing of broken garage beats and the odd heavyweight bassline. Several remixes followed, including a number of reworks for the Inspirit Music label. Phuturistix have now completed their second LP, Breathe some Light. The album features vocals from Mr J, Jenna G, Fyza, Oezlem, Vaceo, and co-productions with AtJazz and Dharma One.
