About Me

Washingtonian deposited down south for the time being. I do lots of things, but one of the things I do best is [deleted due to girlfriend request]. Just about anything. I also read, write, occasionally paint, and play the kazoo. That last one gets pretty irritating I'm told. I haven't been out of the country in some time, and it's beginning to take it's toll. I was born a ramblin man. There is more to know in the world than I could ever learn, and that pleases me. The most amazing thing I've ever seen is a sunset from an airplane somewhere over the alps, not counting that dog that plays basketball, thats just crazy.

Life is good

My Interests

Ambiguity, answering questions with questions, and the absurd. Art of all shapes and sizes (cezanne, mondrian, brancusi, rothko being favorites), broken things, intelligent conversation, being goofy, reading literature.

and buying shit I don't need!

I'd like to meet:

I like to get down in a no limit texas hold'em game with Saddam Hussein, Moammar Kadafi, and the late Mussolini. Either that or Fireball Island. Think about it...Or just chill with Tom Petty, Takeshi Kitano, and Larry Harvey in a tent in the desert...with peyote.

Music:

Radiohead, Screaming Trees, Van Morrison, The Notwist, Bob Dylan, Cibo Matto, Mr. Scruff, Jeff Buckley, Cee-lo Green, John Lee Hooker, Neil Young, Mogwai, David Bowie, Pixies, MC solaar, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bibel Gilberto, Brad, Talking Heads, The Automator, Brand Nubian, Blackalicious, Yoko Kanno, Pavement....and on and on and on I'm all over the board.

Movies:

Labrynth, Legends of the Fall, Big Labowski, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Lost Boys, Secret of N.I.M.H., Legend, Clerks, City of Lost Children, Dark City(oh jennifer), Rock and Roll High School Forever (the second one with Corey Feldman), anything by Stanely Kubrick, Baraka, Anything Mel Brooks, Happenstance, The Goonies, Dawn of the Dead (original Romero version), Dead Alive, Evil Dead, Shaun of the Dead, absolutely anything with zombies in it (perhaps an unhealthy obsession)

Master of the flying Guillotine (or any other old Oriental movie and any new one for that matter), etc, etc, etc.

Television:

Adult Swim and The Daily Show are really all I watch. Sealab & Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law being the best things ever. Currently hooked on deadwood

Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Exel Saga, other anime

Books:

Authors: William S. Burroughs, Djuna Barnes, Hunter S. Thompson, Norman Mailer, Joseph Heller, Tom Robbins, Christopher Moore, Jonethan Lethem, Paul Beatty, Basho, William Gibson. Best books: Catch-22, All Tomorrows Parties, Gun with occasional Music, Jitterbug Perfume, Naked Lunch.

Heroes:

Anyone who sees the absurdity in life and enjoys it.
