..~ ROOMMATES IN RALEIGH: ME & JEN AT RED ROOM AND SULLIVAN'S ~******
| View Show | Create Your Own I recently moved to Raleigh with my best friend from Nursing school, and I am having the time of my life! A perfectionist by nature, I have stopped trying to plan out every second of my future and I am finally living in the moment. A city girl at heart, but I appreciate and will never forget the simple pleasures and ease of living in a small town. Someday, the beach will be a second home for me- that is one thing that's non-negotiable! I am a Registered Nurse; worked for my first year out of school in a Pediatric ICU at a Trauma-1 center in Greenville. Cardiology is my passion in medicine (many of you know why...), so I recently accepted a position in Duke's Heart Center. I assist Electrophysiologists with surgical procedures~ basically anything that has to do with rhythm disturbances in the electrical system of the heart. I am still working part-time in the PICU, because I love taking care of kids and couldn't leave all the friends I made on the unit. I grew up on the West Coast (Northern California, then Portland, then college in Seattle) and have spent 2 unforgettable summers living in Santa Barabara and San Diego. I moved down South for nursing school 4 years ago, and haven't left- If I can convince my family and friends from back home to move here, I will be in absolute heaven...believe me, I'm workin on it! I plan to go to graduate school, and I am looking at Duke and UNC as my top choices....we'll see! Life's too short to not explore- and keep your options open, there's so much out there to be seen! ..
