After two years without releasing any official material
Muwei returns with 4trks vol.1, this being the first
album with the current quintet setup.
As traditionally (but not predictively) occurs,
this new release showcases new timbres to the sound
of the group, whether it..s by adding or subtracting instruments -
it has no guitar or tape sounds, and comes with
the introduction of the cdj and drums, that have been
used since 2006.
The tittle is about the process -
the six tracks presented on this album
(edited from 2 original takes)
were recorded by a 4track tape
recorded, what resulted in a warm, low-fi
vintage mix.
The next album (vol.2), that had already
been recorded, will be release soon.
Everything heard in 4trks were recorded
live, and composed in real-time.
(except for some drum loops on El Guanaco)
