I started playing drums at the age of 10 years old and played along to the Beatles for about a year or so then moved on to the guitar to be more like my older brother William. After playing an E chord for a year or so things started to come together and i was figuring out new chords. Wow .. by the age of 14 i was writing lyrics and completing songs. I started a band with some pals that sucked big time but gave me the bug to want to jam and jam and jam. That turned into what would be my first gigging band called Mayhem. I played southern rock and classic rock and kept that unit in motion for 6 or 7 years then the damn wheels fell off and i never got it running again. By the time i was in my 20s i was self employed at my own vintage guitar store and craving the chance to fail again when i met up with one of my all time musical heros Andy Curran of Coney Hatch, "He had been talking about putting something together with a bunch of well known Canadian artists and offered me the opportunity to be involved. With big Dan Gallagher as our front man and guitar greats such as Simon Brierley, Steve Shelski putting me in my place and with other full and part time members such as Goddo fronting god Greg Godovitz and the sweet and wonderful Jerome Godboo that was the birth of the band known and "Dan Gallagher's Beat Heathens. Do you see where this is going? After many many years of corporate gigs people in the band became less available to commit to upcoming dates the band had, I aproached Scott Apted to play drums and Wayne Deadder to lay waste on guitar as i had moved to fill Andy's place on the bass guitar. "Here you have it ... with the great loss of our dear pal Dan Gallagher the band still plays to this day as a three piece with the shortened name but every bit as bad "the beat heathens" going on 10 years.
I also operate Electric Ladybug Recording Studio which i will post a picture and a gear list to draw some clients i hope. I'm out of here for now but i will update this often as it is my first online site and i'm thrilled to be here.
