"Alexandra the Great" premiered at NFFTY's Kick-Off screening in front of 200 people in April 2007. Since then it has screened at different high schools in the Bellevue school district, been on local news programs, and been well-received overall.

april 29, 2007: other screenings and iliana stuff
so since the last update, ATG has screened in Leadership class 1st period at Bellevue HS, at the interhigh conference for 80 student leaders from around the area, and at NFFTY's Kick-Off event in front of a couple hundred people
april 4, 2007: BHS screening No.1
~ATG screens during first period AP French at Bellevue HS
~over $250 is raised in this class alone
~jocelyn meets the committee that's running the Iliana's fund-raising, and meets Iliana and her daughter and younger sister
april 1, 2007: cast/crew screening
~the cast/crew screening of the movie is held at the meiners' home
~it's the first time any of the cast/crew watch the film (except jocelyn), and it's well-received by everyone
~about $50 is collected in the Iliana Fund donation box today
march 28, 2007: finished, time to save the world
~the DVD is sent out to Student Films Across America
~Jocelyn makes the decision to give 100% of any profit ATG makes in DVD sales and festival prize money to the Iliana Fund until they reach their goal
march 24, 2007: not done YET
~jocelyn comes back to the editing studio to finish up.
~she re-does the end credits, double checks everything then exports to quicktime and mini-DV and downconverts the HD file into SD.
~exporting to mini-DV fails for some reason.
~the SD to quicktime shows that there are a few more tweaks to be made to the entire movie.
march 23, 2007: "done and done-er"
~connor and jocelyn arrive at bud's at about 4:30 and start editing
~6:45pm--all the actual cutting of scenes is done...and they view the rough cut (without cropping/de-interlacing), and they see they have a few more finishing touches to add before cropping/de-interlacing
~8:03pm musician David Landes stops by and signs music release form, chats with connor and jocelyn a little, and watches the roughly cut montage scene
~9:27 rendering: widescreen crop, de-interlacing, and color correction.
~midnight: rendering end credits...the file saves wrong.
march 21, 2007: trailer goes live online!
~the trailer is now live on youtube and myspace...but the best quality of it can be seen by clicking HERE .
~people's responses to the trailer are very positive!
march 18, 2007: trailer finishd
~jocelyn goes to the little studio from 6pm-11pm to do some more editing
~she finishes editing the trailer and a little bit more of the movie
march 16, 2007: editing again
~jocelyn and connor go to a friend's humble editing studio in seattle and beging editing again
~they head over right after school and edit for about 7 hours straight
~5:43pm - scene 1 finished
~7:00pm - scenes 2 and 3a finished
~8:00pm - scenes 3b and 4 finished
~11:00pm - scene 5 finished, half of scene 6 finished
~midnight - part of the teaser trailer finished
february 23, 2007: editing crisis
~jocelyn and connor find out that they have to re-edit what they did already because it wasn't done in HD format
~they realize that they need a tower mac in order to effectively edit HD footage
february 21, 2007: start editing
~jocelyn and connor begin editing ATG on his macbook pro
~they finish editing all interior scenes
february 10, 2007: DAY 6 (picture wrap)
~the last day of production starts at 9:30AM, they film at Bellevue Downtown park, and it goes smoothly
~after the lunch break, J Maki arrives to film a scene that requires the entire cast
~the whole production wraps at about 2:30pm in the afternoon
february 3/4, 2007: DAY 4 & 5
~this is a more informal weekend, where only the AD, the DP, and the Director go around filming scenes for the montage
~most of it is shot in clyde hill and medina
january 27/28, 2007: DAYS 2 & 3
~filming takes place at the park
~J Maki's scene is filmed (Day2), shooting ends on schedule
~day 3: filming at the Pyatts' home goes well, shooting wraps 50 minutes ahead of schedule.
january 20, 2007: DAY 1
~production starts today!
~a grand gathering of the cast/crew that lives in on the eastside happens at about 8AM at jocelyn's house
~the eastsiders get to the location in seattle at about 8:50AM
~film all the interior scenes (kitchen, house, room, etc.)
~are behind schedule by 1 hour in the late morning, but finish 1 hour ahead of schedule at the end of the day

~the apartment complex verbally consents to ATG filming in front of their building, the crew just has to get a written agreement now
january 17, 2007
~connor (AD) calls the city hall to see about permits, turns out they won't likely be approved for a right-of-way permit but as long as they get permission from the apartment complex we're filming in front of, we'll be okay
~jocelyn cancels the january 19th cast/crew meeting
january 7, 2007
~2nd and final all-cast rehearsal takes place today
~one table read, and several rough blockings of important scenes in the script
~costume decisions for J Maki and Anna Meiners are made

~crew meeting at jocelyn's, discussions on the Bellevue Film Office and acquiring ext. filming permits
~they drive around bellevue, looking for a decent street for the sign-holding scenes
~settle on NE 2nd next to Bellevue Downtown Park.
