His Paster mother Norma Smith, in a Spiritual surrounding, raised him. He Started singing at the age of 6, as a young Boy interested in music. This intringuing Young man used a Colgate box with elastic Bands to vibe and create his tunes. Inspired By his Christian surroundings he much Enjoyed gospel music which became a Driving force along with his love for music
Stephon moved on to Kingston where he Began listening to singers Sanchez, Bob Marley,Stevie Wonder,Third World, Lionel Richie, Ray Charles, Temptations and George Michael. This magnificent group of Singers continued to motivate Stephon to Move in the direction of his dreams.
Eventually, he moves from kingston Jamaica to Queens, New York with his Family. Attended and graduated from Junoir High School at the age of 17, moved On to August Martin High School Where he Graduated With honors. Studied piano during His school Years, although he never took it Very Seriously. During his school time Stephon And his friends invited other Friends to the Day jam. sounds that play Kill Boo from King Agony, Super Force, Hit Master, Mystic Movements, And G.Q. Sound. He would met Up with textra, as Often as he can at Different recording Studio such as HC/NF, Golden Cartel, and Symbol recording studio at jamica Ave. in New York to write and Record music.
After these experiences, he realized how Important his God given talent of playing Piano would be to his benefit while writing, Singing and the pursuit of his dream to Have music be his career.
He head back to jamaica to pursue his Music Career he met with producer Mikey Bennett and record a song intitle Sweeter. The song did very well in japan.
While in jamaica textra brother wayne wonder fly him to jamaica in 1996 to Record and he Interoduced him to Wayne Wonder and Babey Cham. Textra, baby Cham and Stephon would vibe every day while wayne Was away on tour. when Wayne gote back he saw the way how Stephon and Textra was hungry for the Music he interoduced him to the producer Dave Kelly and the rest was history. Stephon has written songs for wayne do Shows together and also composed songs Together. Stephon has toured countries Such as Japan, Korea, England, Canada, Caribbean Islands and Sevearl states in The U.S.A. While on tour,he has had the Opportunity to open shows and meet Artist such as Ladey Saw, Nadine Sutherland, Sanchez, Fat Joe and Tanya Stephens.
