About Me

Outta Nowhere Entertainment Presents:
=========================
"QUEENDOM VOL. 1" - Various Artists
=========================
Instead of feeding into the continuous flow of negativity that surrounds women in Hip-Hop, we'd like to shift the focus back to positive, starting with this album that features an ALL WOMEN LYRICIST lineup. Produced by Outta Nowhere Entertainment, Queendom Vol. 1 is the realization to the potent and prevailing creative talent that women have endowed upon Hip-Hop music and culture. Inspired by the work of Sisterz of the Underground (an all b-girl collective, established in San Francisco 2001), Queendom Vol. 1 showcases a diverse community of extremely talented women who represent, in the most powerful and original form possible.
Featuring Grammy Award winning artists, up and coming powerhouse tongues, and extremely respectable lyricists from underground Hip-Hop and the Spoken Word movement ~ this compilation is one answer to the lack of originality we see displayed in the pop "hip hop" that's spreading over us like a disease. Some of the most philosophical women emcees to ever come out of the U.S. and the globe, grace this album with their distinctive styles and strong abilities. Be sure to recognize ~ their names carry weight:
Grammy Award winning LadyBug Mecca, MC Lyte, Bahamadia, Apani B Fly, DJ Pam The Funkstress (The Coup), Conscious Daughters, Neb Luv, Omega aka Miz Marvel, Madame Pinky, Tenashus, Gypsy Love, Princess, Oakland performance artist Aya De Leon, Macromantics, and the Pacific Northwest's Siren's Echo.
Queendom Vol. 1 delivers poignant testimony of known and uprising hustlers ~ REAL women in the Hip-Hop game. It hits hard, moves us, and shakes the foundation we were built on with clean, tight tracks and profound, intoxicating lyricism.
