About Me
I am originally from Indian, but moved to the U.S. in 1993 at the age of 10. I studied there, and finished high school in 2000. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in College when I entered, so I chose computer science. Later I discovered that though computer science was interesting, I wanted to study math more. Already three years in college, I decided to do a minor in math. However, more I studied math, the more I realized that I wanted to have a career that deals constantly in some way with math. So I finished college with a Double Major degree in Computer Science & Math.I thoroughly enjoyed college life. I made lifelong friends, and met some very interesting people. For anyone who says that college is a waste of time and money, I disagree. College isn't only a way to a means. College is an experience, that should be experienced. It is probably the first step that inaugurates one's presence in a global world. Not only do you learn subjects that might help you in your future job, or career, but you also meet people from different backgrounds, and are required and encouraged to take subjects like "Introduction to Sociology", or "Introduction to Political science" or some economic course even if your major is completely unrelated to these topics. I worked over the weekends while in school, and worked the whole week in vacation time. I never regreted any of it, because I still made time for all the parties, and events in my life. In fact, I learned time management out of sheer necessity. I finished college in 2005, after five years of fun. I would have finished in four, but I loved math too much to not take an extra year for it.Right now I am on an Extended Vacation. I just finished travelling in the UK, and Europe, and right now I am in India. I plan to travel as much of India as possible in 6 to 7 months, and attend all the festivals I can to my hearts content that I missed in this last 13 years. I am also planning on travelling to Dubai, Singapore/Malaysia, and Thailand, but not sure if I can fit it into my schedule...wish me luck. Here in India, internet access is available sporadically, and I have to get to a cyber cafe. So updating pictures becomes somewhat of a problem. I have been here two weeks, and am still trying to get used to the water...please bear with me.You can check out my pics at Dyrthos' Yahoo Photos
