The Ease Down

About Me

The Ease Down blends Canadian Indie rock with Broadway-infused playfulness and rootsy songwriting of by-gone eras. With influences that range from Ben Folds Five to Pet Sounds-era Beach Boys and 1970’s Motown, there’s no need to pack your lunch boxes; the sultry* stylings of The Ease Down is nourishment enough. * Def: sultry |'s?ltre| adjective ( -trier , -triest ) (of a person, esp. a woman) attractive in a way that suggests a passionate nature.THE BAND: Bandleader Ben Wilkins grew up as the home-schooled son of an Evangelical minister in London, Ontario. Heavily influenced by his days singing in his church choir and high school musicals, Wilkins went on to graduate from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University where he continued writing songs while he studied classical and jazz theory and arranging. Wilkins, who plays piano and is lead vocalist for The Ease Down, is joined by Hugo Gravel on the kit and Armen Forget on electric bass. Often compared to Ben Folds Five, The Ease Down are bringing back the piano pop trio and livening up stages across North America. To book The Ease Down write to: [email protected]
