NYC SCENEKIDS. ROCKING THE SCENE

if you can walk into irving, you're scene.

About Me

WHO WE ARE: NYCs URBAN-CENTRIC ELITE socialites of PUNK ROCK/EMO. We're constantly tearing up the NYC venues with our presence. We love music- especially Emo, Rock, and Punk Rock. we all have part time/full time jobs at labels or some direct afflilation to the music industry. We have the greatest perks. We often NEVER pay for shows because they are FREE for us. It's all about the guestlist and hanging out backstage at shows. ____________________________________________________________ __ HOW TO JOIN: Send a message and prove that you're in with the music industry. You also must live IN or near NYC and go to shows in NYC often (select NJ folk will be considered for membership). Also, the moderator who runs this must personally know you and you must be a DIRECT FRIEND of at least 75% of the NYC scenekids to even be eligible. Membership to this is for the prestigous only; most potential members are voted on by the other scenekids. All scenekids must unanimously vote "yes" to the potential member, just one "No" will result in REJECTION. When a person passes the vote, the calculation of scenepoints will be determined by the moderator (and the other SK for assistance) on the potential member based on: where you grew up (Growing up in an URBAN area is a BIG PLUS, extra scenepoints are awarded to those who grew up in NYC), what high school/college they attend (ed), how often they go to shows, where they work (working in the music industry/record label, BIG PLUS), whether or not you are fashionxcore, and their present/past zip code and area code. Preferences will be awarded to those in the 212, 347, 718, 646, or the 917. People that live in the 516, 914, or within the hudson county borders of 201 will be considered. However, those residing in the 631, 845, 203, 973, outer 201 may be included if the other factors for membership outweigh the area code handicap. For those who only live in New York for part of the year, your national origin must be from or immediately near a TOP 10 market city. For example, if someone lives in Los Angeles for half of the year, and New York for the other half, one's area code origin must be (323, 310, 213- preferential area codes) 818, 714, 562, 949, or 909. If the amount of scenepoints awarded is high enough, the potential member will be inducted into this society of great people. Besides, this is an elite social scene. we dont accept just anybody. ____________________________________________________________ PURPOSE: This is a forum of communication in times of dire emergencies. I.E: Ride to a show in long island/new Jersey, needing a free ticket to a sold out show, or just wondering if anyone else is going to a show so you don't have to be alone. If anyone of my pretty scenekids needs anything, send me a message and ill post it on the bulletin board and hopefully I or one of the scenekids can help you out! THIS FEATURE IS STRICTLY FOR THE NYC SCENEKIDS. ************************************************************ ** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TYPICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NYC SK.* We are typically seen upstairs at the VIP Irving booth. * We are always well-dressed, always keeping up the with the latest fashions. literate and stylish. * The vast majority of us were BORN and RAISED in NYC and STILL LIVE IN NYC. There are a small minority of us who live in Los Angeles for like half of the year * Most of us have been schooled at NYC's best public and private schools high schools and colleges. * We have a lot of new york city pride * We will avoid paying for a show at all costs * Running into each other in places like Los Angeles, san Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia, DC, Boston and even shows in London is a typical common occurence and sometimes expected * Frequently seen eating on St. marks place sipping bubble tea and eating at GO and sushi at east Village Sushi park.. or Tea at Teany, or any other trendy place. * We will go to a show just to go to a show, well if it's free. * The vast majority of us are diehard, genuine Movielife fans.

I'd like to meet:

NYC scenekids must meet the certain criteria explained above. You must be charismatic, NOT obnoxious, and the ability to bullshit your way through any situation. Groupies need not apply. And please, NO ONE FROM THIRD WORLD AMERICA. Third World Americal includes those who grew up from miles and miles away from urban civilization. Examples of third world america are: Nebraska, Montana, Arkansas, A Dakota, Kansas, Iowa, Etc. For those of you who have been REJECTED and cant be one of us, hah. We don't care. You'll just see us upstairs at the Irving VIP lounge dancing. *********************************************************** This whole obnoxious thing is a parody, not to be taken literally by any means..but the rules of being a friends of this are law.
