Let me start off by writing in first person...lol...
It all really started when I came home from school one day and saw my very first keyboard sitting outside my door...thanx dad! ^_^Don't ask me what my style is because I honestly could not tell you...it's almost incapable of being described...I love to fuse together everything: Hip-Hop and classical, Jazz and Rock, Neo-Soul and Hip-Hop, and so on...but trust me...the day you hear one of my beats through the speakers of your stereo, car radio, t.v., or whatever else it may be, the world will have a new genre...DQism...and that will be the only adjective you will be able to use...And why the name Dungeon Queen? Well I always heard arists like Outkast and Ludacris refer to the studio as "the dungeon" and since many of my early beats have a dark and eerie vibe (like a dungeon), I figured that name would fit best...and plus...being a female producer on the rise...I am a Queen!Seriously...music is my heart and soul...with out it in my life I don't know where I would be...it was the one thing that kept me out of trouble...and the one thing that never fails to give me a good feeling everytime I hear the slightest sound! It's been with me since I was 12 when I started singing, grew even more when I touched my first keyboard, and blossomed after a few years of self taught piano lessons (because my parents and I could not afford them) added with years of knowing how to read music from being in a choir since 7th grade. Big ups to "Piano for Dummies" (yeah...I was THAT serious)! I constantly daydream of the moment one of my tracks is playing through the speakers of a stereo. I must also say I am very picky about what words are portrayed through my art...I put high amounts of energy and thought into every note so it is important for me to work with artist who are on the same track...and if that artist is you...what are you waiting for???~DQ~
