Stripped Away

In early 2005, 3 longtime friends brought their love of music together just for fun to see what would happen. Well, having fun turned into obsession and they were compelled to join forces to create a new sound unknown to the Bay Area. Unlike any other metal band; Justin, Jimi, and Chris set out to bring new light to the local metal scene. All with slightly different musical tastes, they bring their own styles together as one. Justin, coming from a family with a strong musical background brings a flavor like no other. Justin as the main riff writer has his own brand of sauce inspired by bands like Biohazard, Pantera, and Sepultura. Chris has been playing drums for 13+ years with influences that range from Tim Stevens to Dave Lombardo. Chris also writes a lot of the lyrics stemming from his life of writing poems and short stories. Jimi as the vocalist delivers a caustic mix of chaos and melody with his unique singing style. Jimi has been singing to himself since before he could speak, drawing on influences such as Phil Anselmo, Aaron Lewis, and Randal Blythe. Jimi’s maniacal soulfulness brings a new life to the instrumental madness. David being the newest member of the family has a funky new metal groove. David has been playing bass for 9+ years with sound being influenced by Les Claypool, Pink Floyd, and Metallica. With this alliance of sick minded freaks along with the hard hitting riffs and pounding metal beats, we look forward to conquering the Bay Area, the West Coast, and eventually the world.
