The Concept

Approaching the summer of 06, The Concept was formed by two endearing friends. Trish and Dez (from Til The End) stumbled upon an opportunity to explore a fresh genre of music. Dez, originally from Til The End, a local San Jose hardcore band, was looking to find some release from the screamo-esque vocals and breakdowns, "I love what I am a part of in Til The End, but you get saturated when you do one thing long enough and you just want to get a breath of fresh air, and come back to something and love it again for all new reasons." Trish had been jamming solo, when the two hung out one day and found a bright idea to collaborate together, creating an indie ambience with folk-like guitar strums and melodic jazzy run on vocals.
