Los Badd Boyz del Valle

About Me

Traditional, alegre, and energetic are some of the words that one may use to best describe the sound and style of this young, humble band from the Rio Grande Valley. Poised to revolutionize conjunto music with a unique and modernized sound, yet without losing the essence, the Badd Boyz long term goal is to keep conjunto music alive. The Badd Boyz consists of brothers Lonnie and Chuck Gonzales along with their cousin Rocky Beltran, and Adam Garcia. The Gonzales are first generation musicians, while Beltran, coming from a family with a musical history, is a fourth generation musician. After each having been members in various bands throughout their career, they guys decided to unite and go on their own. The guys listened to all genres of music growing up, but the popularity of conjunto music in el valle de tejas, as most people refer it as, is what inspired the guys musically and artistically. The guys credit artists such as the late Tony de la Rosa, Ruben Vela, and Los Dos Gilbertos, for paving the way to their musical inspirations and influences. The band was formed in the summer of 2001 and began playing at bars, cantinas, social events, and local city festivals; on occasion, they were a support act for some of the more popular Tejano/Conjunto artists that would make their tour stops in the valley. As the years went by, the band eventually developed a local fan base that would follow them to all their local performances. The bands popularity started to grow and was soon winning awards and garnering recognition at the South Texas Conjunto Music Association Awards even without having recorded a CD. It wasnt until November 2004 that the Badd Boys began recording their first production for Sniper Records in McAllen, TX. Blessed with the ability to compose and arrange their own music, this gift enabled the group to develop a power-driven conjunto ranchera sound and a unique cumbia style that can be heard on their debut CD entitled No Me Se Rajar. Their debut CD contains ten tracks combined of original compositions as well as their own version of oldies but goodies; Badd Boyz del Valle is poised to lead the next generation of conjunto and want nothing more than to keep conjunto music alive.Quiero Que Me Dejes
