B Jammin

Ben is a Freelance Drummer/Percussionist living in the Los Angeles area. He has toured the West Coast and Colorado Rockies extensively with the Funk-tacular jamband mamaSutra and visited Mt. Fuji, Japan with The Dave Boyles Trio to play The Asagiri Festival. Ben's background is very eclectic with experience in almost every musical situation imaginable. From playing percussion in a pit Orchestra for Musical Theater to straight ahead Jazz gigs; Heavy Metal bands to Roots Reggae. "I just love music, and there's so much cool stuff out there, you just got to try it," he says with a smile. "Although I do lean towards the Acid Jazz Genre because of the groove and improv. I've been exploring electronic music more and of course, love the Death Metal." Varied experiences for sure, leaves this drummer inspired and ready for the next adventure. Ben currently writes and records in his home studio in Venice, Ca. where he finds himself well suited for the diversity of the Bohemian beach town. "I love to create and am always open to new projects. Let's push the envelope!"
