I'd like to meet: Sean Connery, Mel Gibson, Ian McKellen, Colin Ferrel...(they wear skirts and/or have sexy accents)!AND any cute Scotsman who owns a castle, but I'd settle for any cute Scotsman.;-)
Music: I love all forms of music. I do of course have my favorites, and the list does change quite often according to my mood. Celtic Rock is at the top of my list. Check out Albannach, Enter the Haggis, Hunting McLeod and Bad Haggis. I am also partial to Citizen Cope, Sean Kingston, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Natasha Bedingfield, J. Holiday, Chris Brown, Evanescence, the Kooks, Nickelback, Staind, Black Keys and the list goes on and on... Shall I throw in a twist: I love Renaissance music: chants, motets, Classical music: symphonies, operas. I love Stravinsky, Beethoven, and Smetna to name a few. I also sing and play guitar and am learning the pennywhistle, but once again, due to lack of time (school) I have not been practicing.
Movies: As I mentioned earlier, I love SciFi/Fantasy. LOTR and Braveheart are of my all time favs! Tristan and Isolde; Pride and Predious; King Arthor; X-Men and Spiderman; Memoirs of a Geisha; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon to name a few. But then again, I love the theatre: Doctor Zhivago; Seven Brides for Seven Brothers; My Fair Lady; Romeo and Juliet; Moulin Rouge... I could go on and on and...
Tele: I like My Name is Earl, The Office, Las Vegas, Heroes and Crossing Jordan is my favorite (which hasn't come back this season, but I still have hope).
Books: Terry Brooks, Terry Brooks, Terry Brooks. The numerous Shannara serieses! They are all wonderful! I saw he has a new one out I cant wait to read!I have recently been reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, which I also love! I am currently reading the 4th book, Drums of Autumn. I also love photography books, I'm sure many people at Barnes and Noble question if I can actually read because I buy so many picture books. And again, anything history and/or Celtic related.
Hero: Beethoven all the way. He had a severe disability to his career, (he was deaf) yet he still managed to compose music and is to this day considered the master of the symphony! What an inspiration to anyone who has or faces a handicap (hate that word) especially when it interferes with their passion and lifes' work.
