About Me

Live here on Teesside.Been a massive electro/alternative music fan since I got into Gary Numan in 79 but OMD are my all time fav's. From 79 to 86 I must have had or listened to/gone to gigs by just about anyone and anything. Was in a synth band called Critical Levels but in truth we ended up more an OMD tribute instead of trying hard with our own thing. Lost interest totally with music around 86/87 when OMD, The Bunnymen split and Kraftwerk presented us with their worst album Electric Cafe. I thought if they have lost it then I'm not interested as I hate with a vengance the Acid/House music that took over....Drum and Bass is nothing without Melody.Got back into music around 94 when I heard the brilliant single Babies by Pulp and I just thought WOW!This opened up what was then just simmering below the surface and I found a whole music genra which I loved but most important it made me remember how important music was to me. Met up with my best mate and old band member Daz by accident in 2000. We lost touch some 14 yrs earlier as he started working abroad. Ee then went to the One Mad Day OMD fan get together and had a brilliant time it was just like nothing had changed. Since then really got back into going to gigs and average around 15 a year. I don't like festivals as I like to see full sets and with having a growing family I have to be choosie now so only go to see gigs where I like the bands. The internet has proved the most powerful introduction to new bands and I use it to look for and keep up to date with new stuff. Just like I used the NME, Melody Maker, Record Mirror and Sounds back in the early 80's.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:
