Ellie Strings

Well here I am on myspace to put the word out for my session playing- calling all bands, composers, producers and fellow musicians! I have been touring, recording and composing for a fair few years now and love nothing more than getting in the studio and putting some lush strings down on a track. I played in a signed band for seven years and toured all over the UK and US from shit-hole dive bars to big festival gigs in front of thousands. My session playing has had me on Top of the Pops, The Chart Show, The National Lottery, good old Richard n Judy and even the Albert Hall with Westlife!!(my cheesiest pop moment to date) The last few months I have been working on an album project with an incredible LA band 'The 88'. I also spent a great week at Realworld studios working with another US artist Gavin Mikhail on his new album. In Brighton I have been adding strings to the new "sideshow" project of the fantastic Ninjatunes artist, Fink. Other recent sessions have included The Stereo MC's, The Wolfmen, DJ Format, Rubylux, ChungKing, Heavy Guage and Mummer. Last year I teamed up with hot US producer Jason Nevins to arrange and play strings on his remix of Kelly Clarkson's 'Never Again'. I am based in Brighton but also work regularly in London.
