FLOW WE UP NEXT SHOWCASE THURSDAY @ J-PALACE!

About Me

On April 2nd, 1987 the world lost a star in Marvin Gaye and gained one with the birth of Flow. Born Harold E. Mosley II in Toledo, Ohio Flow's musicianship dates all the way back to his childhood. Growing up he was inspired to mimic such musical greats as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and of course Marvin Gaye. By the tender age of 3 he was already entertaining family & friends at parties and family events. Flow grew up in a single parent home in the inner city surrounded by gangs, drugs, racism, and poverty. As a youth he remembers seeing the effects of what a negative environment does to his people and was disgusted with the outcome. On the other hand he was intrigued by the lifestyle and the things that come with it. His mother on the other hand made sure he stayed in church and education was the first priority in her household regardless of what went out on the streets. At the age of 10 Flow decided to sing for his congregation at church and has been pursuing music ever since then. He also began to write poetry as well as singing & dancing. At the age of 12 he had advanced his skills in singing and dancing but also began battle rapping friends in and out of school. One year later he would start battling people 2-3 times his age in competitions and winning everyone he entered. It was then he put together his first mixtape. At 15 Flow was performing in clubs and winning talent shows across the city being recognized for his lyrics and stage performances. He then enrolled in Toledo School For The Arts where he furthered his musicianship by learning the piano & the drums. While enrolled he also became very faund of acting. He participated in every play the school put on which ranged from things like Grease to Annie. He was also the first rapper to perform in Kaleidoscope an event which raises money for the school and its programs. He also put out a second mixtape entitled "The Man On Fire". After leaving TSA in 2005 Flow began to fall in the path he was intrigued with as a child. Although still pursuing music his main focus was to hustle because in his eyes the music wasn't making him enough money. After watching his friends either die, become incarcerated, or become addicted to drugs he decided to leave the streets alone pursue his first love music. Since that day he has dropped a number of street bangers "Bitch I'm Paid", "Green", and the original "Dougie" which have been featured on mixtapes around the country. Now at 21 the rapper/singer/songwriter/producer has created his own genre of music called Hip-Hop Soul while working on his debut album entitled "Dare 2 Be Different", which shows the many sides and personalities of himself. Flow's message is simple be the best person you can be and fulfill your dreams whatever they may be regardless of your situation, You can make it happen! Flow has also opened up for several industry artists such as Jim Jones, Rich Boy, Trey Songz, Shawty Lo, Yung Joc, Dj Unk and many more. His story is real and his music is his life. He has been deemed by many as the future of Hip-Hop you now can be the judge.
