About Me

At the end of the eighties in France, after punk and cold-wave, I discovered industrial music and began involving in this scene - From 1992 to 1996, I wrote reviews and made gigs photos during the whole adventure of the industrial and ritual fanzine SYMPOSIUM. I have participated to the fanzines ESPOIRS EPHEMERES, OMEGA and some more underground others too - In the same period I managed the micro tape label EXPREL, which was mostly where my friends and I were releasing our music, and distributing some others - I almost stopped being involved in this scene in 1996, when I began to work as a free-lance sound engineer in the audiovisual field in Paris - I come back to writings in 2005, with several chronicles of industrial and experimental french bands for the book CARNETS NOIRS, and still occasionally for the OBSKÃœRE french webzine - On a more audiovisual level, in 2004 under the name GODSANDBEASTS, I started distributing underground and experimental audiovisual products - In 2005 I managed the postproduction part of the musical dvd RVB-TRANSFERT. This is a huge sampler about the french independant scene of the eighties, coproduced with INFRASTITION and OPTICAL SOUND. Between post-punk, cold-wave, avant-garde pop, industrial and experimental music, this dvd gathers for the first time a lot of archives mostly unseen or rare - I was althought closely involved in some gigs during this period, especially for the THERAPIE AUDITIVE festivals in Paris - At the moment I'm working with Eric Duboys, the author of the recent french book upon Throbbing Gristle, on the iconography (mostly with live pictures) of his second volume of INDUSTRIAL MUSIC FOR INDUSTRIAL PEOPLE.

Sounds Like: I began VINCI at the end of the eighties, in the old good days of this amazing and so prolific hometaping network - The former tapes and a non-exhaustive list of the samplers tracks can be seen on my discogs page - The material was between experimental songs or more ambient industrial soundscapes - I stopped producing in middle nineties but never ceased dealing with sound - I just mostly integrate it in my work as a sound engineer, in sound-designs, mixing films or being involved in others musical or audiovisual projects - Now, after having moved from France to Canada in 2006, the project VINCI has been reloaded.
