I was born in the Bronx, New York in 1962. I moved to California in 1979. Although I did my 3 years of High School in New York I graduated from La Puente High School in 1980, doing my Senior year in California. I've coach under the L.A. County Sheriff's Youth Activities League since 2001. Ever since coaching in the Los Angeles County Sheriff Youth Activities League Industry Station, I have helped coach 2 back-to-back Division Championship teams (as Assistant Coach)to 9 wins and 1 loss, 2 Basketball teams (combined 6 Wins 5 Losses record), 1 Flag Football team (as assistant coach) to a 9 Wins and 1 Loss -- 3rd Place finish, and, last but not least, in my coaching debut in C Division Football -- when the head coach and assistant coach couldn't make it because they had to work that Saturday -- coached the team to its ONLY Win of their season; the last game of the season at that! Now it looks as if my coaching days are soon going to be over. It is getting hard to maintain the same team I've had over the years, since these kids are playing in other leagues as well as growing up. I thank the Los Angeles County Sheriff Youth Activities League and wish them the best in the future. The basic fundamental ingredient to being a team is that everyone has to be on the same page with the coach, as well as have that desire and drive within them to succeed and win. I believe that as kids grow up to be adults, this is something important they have to put in practice in life, not just in their sports they take up as they grow up. The motto I've placed on top of my MySpace page, ARTE ET LABORE comes from the logo of the English Premier football (soccer) team Blackburn Rovers. It clearly states that your labors, work, what you produce, should be works of art, worthy of being marvelled at and complemented (praised).

My Interests

I am into sports; I love baseball, hockey, basketball, football, soccer. I watch some Pro Wrestling as well (been following it since I was about 9 years old). I believe that if I would have taken broadcast journalism in college I would have been working at ESPN or Fox Sports having a radio show. I am hooked on satellite radio: I own an XM radio set.Big Ups to ESPNRadio and to XM for carrying all those MLB baseball games all season long. I also listen to commercial-free music and news channels. I am a Christian, and I coach Football, Baseball and Basketball at the local Sheriff Youth Activites League.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Muhammed Ali, Hank Aaron, President Bill Clinton, and would have loved to sit down and have had a conversation with John Lennon. OK; aside from these very distinguished people whom I'd love to meet, I would also like to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I ask you, wouldn't it be lovely to see Christians, Jews, Muslims, Bhuddists, people of all religions meet and be able to get along very well? This could happen if only people would set aside their differences (especially religous differences) and avoid talking about which religion is best, or having a "jihad" (holy war) just because one person does not like another person they've just bumped into, or disagrees with another's beliefs. In my life so far I've met (and gotten very well with) people from Iraq, Cambodia, Laos, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, England, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Ethiopia, Egypt, Israel, India, Jamaica, Honduras, Indonesia, and others. Puerto Rico is technically part of the United States,(a territory) along with Guam, American Samoa and the U.S Virgin Islands, so I did not count them in, even though the majority of my family is in Puerto Rico (and enough of all this negativity towards Puerto Rico; Puerto Rico is a very beautiful island, with updated technology and lifestyle exactly like that of the U.S.). These countries reperesent a cross-section of people with different backgrounds, religion, and beliefs.Death Cab For Cutie - Soul Meets Body
