Well, it goes a little something like this... I pretty much grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and briefly attended both Richland Northeast and Spring Valley high schools before (regrettably *almost*) dropping out and going to work full-time. Of course, I do have to add that I DID get my GED, at least. In April 2001 I met Christopher, the love of my life, through my brother. Immediately following his return from bootcamp in December of 2002, Chris and I were married. We then moved from Columbia to Pensacola, Florida while my husband attended A-school for the Navy. While in Pensacola we received news that we were due to have our first child in October of '03. After graduation from A-school in June of 2003 we received orders to NAS Whidbey Island, in Washington (state). In August of 2005 Chris left for his first deployment, and two days later I found out that we were due to have our second child in April of 2006. Considering he was going to be gone for quite a while, I decided to head on back to good 'ol South Carolina for the remainder of my pregnancy, and get to spend some much needed time with my family and friends (specifically my maid of honor and best friend Trish). Ironically, my husband returned home 2 days after my daughter was born. And now here we are, back in lovely Whidbey Island, Washington (*SARCASM*) anxiously waiting to find out where we will be stationed next. Being a military/Navy wife is without a doubt one of the most difficult things I have ever had to experience. We try to make the best of every moment, though. I'm a stay-at-home mom and full-time student (currently takin a break), which, when combined with being a military spouse, makes me one hell of a busy person!!! But, I wouldn't change anything!! The good shit is never free...with everything comes some sort of sacrifice.
