About Me

I was born an orphan in Avellino, Italy latitude is 40.92 degrees north and then was adopted by Italian parents in 1956 and moved to Mystic,Iowa 40.78 degrees north. Almost exactly in line. I've been living in Des Moines, Iowa since June of 1985 and plan to live here forever. It's a great town to live in. I have been working at the post office since 1987 and they will probably have to carry me out of there, because I don't know if I will ever retire. I have a daughter Shelly who's going to be 20 in September. I also have a step daughter Sheri who's 25 and had a baby boy named Jessie this late July and that will make it 2 girls (Makayla 8 and Ellie May 6) and 2 (Jonathon 1) boys. I also have two flame point cats one is Mac and he's 15 and Flamer and he's 5. I live on the south side and my house will probably cave in on me some day since it's on a busy road with a lot of vibration which is causing my house to slip gradually down hill. I still try and keep up my house so it's one of the nicer ones on the block.

My Interests

I love watching the Chicago Cubs. in football the Iowa Hawkeyes plus high school, college & pro football. I really love listening to music. I love watching movies in high-definition at home. I also love riding in my convertible and using the hot-tub.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet someone who is in her 40s to mid 50s. She has to have a job or at least be independent. She also has to be a non smoker and a very light drinker. I would want her to look good and care about her appearance. I don't want her to be too overweight. I work out daily and have an athletic build. I would also want her to be very affectionate too. I hope she would like going out to eat, watching movies, listening to music and going for rides in my convertible too. But I would also like to meet other fans of Progressive rock and fusion music too. Plus movies fans of independent directors.

Music:

I love Progressive Rock music plus fusion and progressive metal. Also 60s & 70s album rock. New age and classical are cool too. but I hate Country and Rap. Put that together and call it Crap! MY FAVORITE POP BAND WAS "THE HOLLIES" FAVORITE HARD ROCK BAND WAS "THE DOORS" FAVORITE METAL BAND WAS BLACK SABBATH, FAVORITE PROG METAL IS DREAM THEATER AND MY FAVORITE PROG AND MOST FAVORITE BAND OF ALL WAS "GENESIS" BEFORE STEVE HACKETT LEFT. MY FAVORITE NEW AGE IS SHADOWFAX AND MY FAVORITE CLASSICAL COMPOSER IS CHARLES DEBUSSY & OTHER FRENCH IMPRESSIONISTS. I FORGOT FRANK ZAPPA, WHO I SIMPLY WORSHIPED FOR HIS FUNNY LYRICS AND INCREDIBLE MUSIC.

Movies:

I LOVE INDEPENDENT TYPE MOVIES THAT YOU WOULD SEE AT THE FLEUR CINEMA OR ON THE SUNDANCE & IFC SATELLITE CHANNELS.

Television:

Right now I watch comedy central the most. Mind of Mencia, the daily show, the Colbert report and Reno 911. I also watch the Soup on E. Keith Olbermann's countdown on MSNBC. The Simpsons and the Office when they aren't repeats. pLus all of the fix it up shows.
