About Me

This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

A little about me...I work for a cruise line...I want to get into ecotourism. I just got a schedule that gives me weekends off. I like to eat organic and use organic when I can. I like to be pampered. I love water. I love to be on the water. I am a huge fan of words written spoken and sung. My dream is to introduce people to the great outdoors, teach them the ecology of the area, and to write about it and get published...and of course to travel to far off places. I hate chain email with a passion. I love Seattle, and I miss my friends back east. I miss my friends in AK too. Oh...and I love; my family: my bourbon: my beer: my friends: my boat: and plants (all plants). Oh...and I love animals too...I want a cat. There are other things that you could know about me too...but you should just ask me if you want to know anything...you can read me like a book...(Ha! I'm funny too)

My Interests

I like the thrill of depending on your car and your own common sense. I also love public transportation; traveling in general, ecotourism in specific; writing; kayaking; cooking; camping; hiking; canoeing; sailing; canyoneering; fishing; talking; hanging with pals; ping pong; ice blocking; did I mention writing; and of course reading.

I'd like to meet:

Creative souls; wonderful writers; zany readers; learners; teachers; travelers; eco-friendly minded people; open minded people; and of course the people that love life...people that like to go and enjoy the weather no matter how cold, snowy, or wet it might be...
adopt your own virtual pet!

Music:

being a music lover with lots of musical interests here are a few: Meghan Andrews; G. Love; Throw me the Statue; Gaelic Storm; Band of Horses; Sam Robinson; Tegan and Sara; Brandi Carlile; Prince; Ani DiFranco; The Blue Scholars; The Cave Diggers; Jack Johnson; Thievery Corp; Rolling Stones; Jimi Hendrix; Janis Joplin;Tom Petty and many other artists besides...the other side would be the classical side: Beethoven; Rimsky-Korsavok; Mozart; Handel; Hayden; Cage...and many othersand then there is bluegrass...but really you don't need anymore do you?

Movies:

Clue; Haunted Honeymoon; Dragnet; High Spirits; Pride and Prejudice; Star Dust; Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day; September Sessions; The Patriot; Patriot Games; Boondock Saints; Shutter; Willow; Warren Miller's Playground; Red vs. Blue; and of course Goonies...and probably more...but those are tops

Television:

top chef; cities underground; grey's anatomy where are you?

Books:

most recently: the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse series; Ahab's Wife, The Seduction of the Crimson Rose; Silent in the Sanctuary; Duty and Desire; Sorcery and the Single Girl; Silent in the Grave; Light a Penny Candle; Babel Tower. Then there are books that I'm currently reading depending on the mood or mindset; The Book of Air and Shadows; Unabridged Dorothy Parker; Anne Sexton's Love Poems; Practical Nomad; Ink; and finally The Food we Eat. I think that sums it up. Any suggestions?

Heroes:

My heroes are varied. My great Uncle Bob is my hero for his outstanding courage. My Great Uncle Peter for his sacrifice for the greater good. My family are my heroes for their undying love. All of my friends are my heroes in their own right: from being a single mom with two children to raise, to my friends serving over seas. I appreciate courage, loyalty, faith, honor, and respect. Those that can appreciate and demonstrate those qualities are my heroes.
