The New Bio
I write music that I like because its just what I need to do to get by. It used to be a lot more ska and punk... and it still is. Just not so much. Oh yeah and whinny too. Not so much that anymore either. It also used to be a solo act, but as of now I've found some pretty sweet dudes that are into this for some reason. Crazy right?
A whole lot of inspiration from and hopefully back to this community too. Both the music scene and the got-danged city itself! Appreciating what we've got around us and trying to make it better. We're into that. Don't worry though. We drink beer too.
The Old BioThis is an exercise in maintaining sanity when you're cooped up in the bedroom of your apartment by yourself all day with nothing but a Radio Shack microphone, a 65 watt Fender amp, and some not so high quality instruments. Or writing songs about stuff that pisses you off and other stuff that's pretty awesome.
The Best Revenge is about doing something you might fail at because you have to. You just have to. Other people see that potential for failure and think it's dumb, a waste of time, and all sorts of other negativity. But you just have to and no one will ever understand that. Plus I stole the name from the Vandals.
My Mission Statement (or some bullshit like that)
No money, no help from fancy labels, no help from fancy studios, no merch manufactuers, or any of that. Just good friends, good music, and a desire to get it out to people. And I hope to keep things that way. We try to work entirely on a donation basis. Everything is as free as possible, but unfortunately playing music still costs money, so donations are really appreciated if you want a CD or something. Not for fame. Not for fortune. Not to support a cocaine habit. Not to pick up hot chicks. Not to get rims. Just so I can tell people some stuff I hope they'll listen to. And finding more people to teach me things I didn't know.

Oh yeah... I/we have played with bands such as Westbound Train, Bomb the Music Industry, and the Flaiming Tsunamis, some tours with the Pinstripes, and Rick Johnson slept on my couch once... you're supposed to brag about that stuff on these things right?

If THAT doesn't work, I'll be honest, most of my shows are booked in person by getting me drunk and having me stumble through awkward conversations at loud bars and then I remember it about a week later. So try that.
