About Me

CHRIS wrote a pile of songs about the pretty store clerks of Yellow Springs Ohio, ego dissolution, and the sadness of clowns. JAYE 250 learned the words and how to play the melodies on a $21 garage sale keyboard. In the winter of 2007, 16 songs were recorded on a minidisk player with a microphone the size of a pencil eraser. The songs were put on MYSPACE and quickly discovered by reknowned producer JAIME LEGATO , owner of the indie DERMUSIK recording label. LEGATO offered to produce some sides for the band. Thus, MELONBALLER suddenly found itself in the studio producing some serious anti- pop music. As if that wasn't enough, a radio station in Indiana WVUR has already begun playing several of MELONBALLER's demo songs. A videographer has also begun work on a video for one of their tunes. Finally, a graphic artist has created a kickass t- shirt design to MELONBALLER's specifications. How did all this happen? Simply by a couple of regular midwestern folks following a dream...
