Alexis, aka Vanitee is a very talented and ambitious Midlands rapper from Wolverhampton. He is 24 and has been interested in music all his life. He has grown up around music as his father was part of a Sound back in the day and has always bought musicSo from as far back as I can remember I have been surround by RnB and has seen it change from what it was to what it is now. Then as I grew older and started to buy my own music Hip Hop came en par if not got the edge. So really music is like my life.My influences in music come from all types of eras, from people like 2pac, Nas, Talib Kweli to James Brown, Al Green, Grace Jones, and Michael Jackson to name a few. I think this is where I get my soul groove!In 2003 I entered a national music competition called Urban Voice 2003, which took place between September 03 and December 03. After auditioning I went through to the Heats, Semis and then to the Final. Since then I have been in the studio making new tracks and concentrating on writing new ones.I performed through most of summer 2004 in Manchester at various events throughout the city. In 2005 I concentrated mainly on writing my album which is nearly finished with a few performances in my home town.This year is all about getting heard and promoting my mixtape!
