Their seriously melodic alt-rock, built around the voice and songs of frontman Rick Belluso, is surprisingly cohesive for a band this age. Their songs, the first five of which debut on Youre Still Here, brim with ideas and passion, style and substance." ~ Providence Phoenix.
Emerging from the coast of Southern New England only two short years ago, alt rock's glimmer of hope Clones of Sam has swiftly captured a large and loyal fan base in a noteably short time.
While people often inquire first about their name, the defining characteristic of Clones of Sam is their music, by far. Recorded at the legendary Q Division Studios in Boston, their debut EP, You're Still Here, is a colorful journey into the mind and soul of lead singer/songwriter Rick Belluso. Led on by his unique, captivating voice, the listener is helplessly drawn into the cascading surge of love and pain that tenderly permeates each lyric on the album.
Aside from the sheer marketability of their sound & image, Clones of Sam, like every great band, knows how to use the crowds energy to intensify their live concert. This has caught the attention of many, including radio station 95.5 WBRU. CoS was chosen out of 300 bands in New England to compete in WBRU's annual battle of the bands: the Rockhunt. The station also asked the band to support ATO recording artist JEM in a sponsored event last November.
