Before formed in the womb, Wendel Thurston Dandridge was destined and ordained to manifest greatness and excellence. Born January 5, 1985 to the union of Wallace and Kathleen Dandridge, he spent his years of growth, maturation and spiritual development in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. One of four siblings, he was educated in the Baltimore public school system and was raised in his family’s church. W.T. Dandridge knew early in life his call to serve the community.Accepting Christ in his early childhood, W.T. Dandridge has been building the kingdom of God through ministry and service. Licensed and commissioned to preach the good news on April 7, 1999, at the age of 14, W.T. Dandridge has been electrifying audiences around the globe with his spirit-sensitive style of worship, gift of exhortation and moving motivational words. He believes that the most effective type of worship, to influence the lives of individuals, is the kind that becomes a lifestyle and not just a part in a program.At the age of eight (8) Wendel was an average child singing his elementary school song when a teacher heard a voice that stood out from the rest. It was from that day to present time that Wendel has become a well sought out singer, musician, lyricist, producer and performer. Beginning his ministry at local community functions and churches around the nation, Wendel has developed such a passion for music of all genres. Wendel’s forte’ is in the area of gospel, and jazz; but has a gift for interpretation in show, opera and R & B.In order to further Wendel’s craft, he required of himself to get as much education and training as he possibly could. He began with an instrument. Studying and learning keyboard and percussion instruments, Wendel felt as though these instruments would make him a better musician. With the skills of rhythm, melody, time, harmony, and interpretation these instruments have helped Wendel to become not only a better singer, but a well-rounded musician. Studying music and vocal techniques at The Baltimore School for the Arts, Baltimore City College, and Morehouse College, Wendel has gained knowledge in the music culture to last a lifetime.Wendel’s skills have allowed him to sing in various auditoriums, institutions, cathedrals, and audiences around the world. Singing for companies include the NAACP, Carnival Cruise Lines, MBNA America and various non-profit organizations. Wendel brings a young and energetic vibe that captivates audiences all over the globe. While receiving "Soloist of the Year" in a vocal competition in Myrtle Beach, SC, and performing in the "Days of Our International" Competition in Milan, Italy (2003), Wendel remains humble and is always willing and ready to lift the spirits of the community through his gifts of music.Over the years W.T. Dandridge has become a well sought out motivational speaker, minister, mentor and musician. He has served in various church positions including; musician, choral director, worship leader, teacher, counselor, children / young adult pastor and assistant pastor. He has served his community in the areas of mentorship, community service and health and wellness awareness; including STD / HIV / AIDS awareness and breast cancer awareness.W.T. Dandridge has become a predominant, up and coming religious leader in a time, day and age where the world is calling for hope, inspiration, empowerment, and motivation amid personal, social, community, economic and political chaos around the globe. Motivational speaker, lecturer, preacher, counselor and author, W.T. Dandridge proclaims a message of change and transformation by a process of renewing one’s mind.W.T. Dandridge hold a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in religion from Morehouse College (Atlanta, GA). He is currently pursuing his Master’s of Divinity degree and intends to obtain his PhD. as the years progress.
