About Me

I am a happily married man and father of two daughters. I was born in '67.I have a year or so left in the US Air Force before I retire sometime in '07.In my spare time I am a race-track announcer at Warrensburg, Missouri's "Central Missouri Speedway," a little 3/8th mile 'bullring' racing facility in the heart of the Midwest. My user name is also my monicker at the track. I am a huge dirt-racing fan, especially Super Late Models and when I'm not on the mic at the 'Burg I am off watching races at many local Kansas City and St. Louis area dirt tracks. The World 100 at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway is my favorite event, 200 plus late models usually in attendance trying to make the 26-car field! My wife and I are proud home owners and very proud parents as well. Of course we all like to hang out together when time allows in all of our busy racing, work and school activity filled schedules.

My Interests

I like to spend time with my girls and go to new and exciting places with them. We have been fortunate to go all over the states thanks to the Air Force and have seen some beautiful country. My oldest daughter was born in Anchorage, AK, and my youngest in Rapid City, SD. I have been to just about every state and overseas to one of the 'Stans' and to Italy in my military travels.I also enjoy bowling and am a certified Bronze-level Youth Bowling Coach, having attained that level in 2004. This year marks my 10th year of coaching bowling. I myself do not bowl as much as I used to as there are not as many tournaments around the KC area compared to when I was in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I miss bowling the tournaments and all of my bowling pals in South Dakota and hope to get back up to see them someday and bowl with them again. I have one 300 on my bowling resume.

I'd like to meet:

Although we teach our girls to not ever place people above you just because of their name or monetary status, there are a few people who I would like to converse with...Walter Ray Williams, Jr.-Professional Bowler; Ronnie James Dio-Former lead singer of Rainbow and Black Sabbath; and Billy Moyer-5 Time World 100 Late Model Champion.

Music:

As far as music goes, I am a Metalhead. I grew up with Sabbath, Maiden, Priest, Dio, Slayer, (old) Metallica, Manowar and Ozzy. I have many fond memories of seeing my favorite artists in concert back where I grew up in Pocahontas, IL, not too far from St. Louis, MO. I am also a fan of the "New Wave of American Metal" movement, with Shadow's Fall leading the way. I also enjoy classic rock with some of my favorite bands being Pink Floyd, Kansas, (old) Journey, (old) REO, (old) Styx, Alice Cooper, B.O.C., Triumph and AC/DC. Since I am originally from the St. Louis area, of course my favorite radio station is (and always will be as long as they keep rocking), K-SHE '95. There's no other station like K-SHE, period! I love the classics show and listen to it on-line in the mornings when I'm writing my Sunday morning race report and results articles. Some of my favorite K-SHE Classic bands are 707, Touch, April Wine, Angel, D.O.A., and U.F.O.

Movies:

Not a big movie goer, unless the girls want to go watch movies, CARS was really good though!

Television:

I don't watch TV but I do have VH-1 Classic on in the background, especially when Metal Mania is on!

Books:

I need to read more, but I like classic horror novels when I do read.

Heroes:

Dale Earnhardt
