My son Jared (now 14 yrs) and I are free lance artists. Jared and I have been drawing together since he was about 3 years old. We sit side by side in our art studio, mostly drawing, painting. I think together we have drawn over 1000 mermaids, countless animals and fantasy figures. I found myself doing illustrations and writing short English stories so he could learn English and later the drawings evolved into finished art. Jared has the gift of imagination and a talent with a techinical pen and professional graphic markers.Often Jared..s characters have given me extended ideas for my art. We often find ourselves working together on one piece, creating, exchanging ideas and learning from each other.A child with the gift to create especially needs a forum in which to present their work, grow and to be encouraged, not just the hallway in a school. The artist of future must be nutured from the artists of today and given support and encouragement on a this long journey.Jared is now attending school in the USA and staying with family. He is thriving in the Finger Lakes
