RUSTIC, began singing at age 8 and like many successful artist he began in his solo career in church. Born in Kansas City, Mo., by the time he was 10 years old his parents and five sisters moved to Compton, California. He continued singing in church choirs on Sundays and became a high school standout football player at Dominquz High School in the city of Compton. Even while in high school and after he kept singing everyday, just for the joy and reaction from his family, friends and classmates. RUSTIC, continued singing gospel even after his interest began expanding into the contemporary urban hip-hop arena. He also knew that it was wise to work with various young and experience producers. He said, I have always respected the old school entertainers, they've been there and know what the music industry is all aboutlisten and learn is what my parents and older sisters has always taught me. Also at an early age he remembered listening to the radio and being influenced by many of his favorite artist, rappers and singers. The rest comes from the support of his family, he said. Always believing in staying in good physical condition, RUSTIC became aDONOTBLOCKOURADS body builder and is well known in many of southern California health clubs. He was so good at it that he became an instructor at the California Athletic Club and the ladies would line up for training, because of his expertise. After growing up with five sister and I was the only boy and the youngest, I learned everything about respecting a female and Im grateful). According to his reputation, RUSTIC is best at writing unique lyrics and singing the story that is so convincing makes his style competitive with many of the industry greats. His vocal quality ranges from smooth grinding growl of a demanding man to the whispery falsetto scat of a pleading lover. Respecting the rappers of the industry he believes that incorporating new rapping talent on various songs on his latest album COME GO WITH ME is necessary.
