About Me

Chris Lozano - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar

Born in Colorado, he grew up in the Mountainous area of Paonia. While growing up, he developed outdoor skills like hunting, fishing and camping. In school he was active in sports programs including football and baseball. At a early age he developed a love for Country Music and listened to country artists such as The Bellemy Bros., Garth Brooks, George Strait, Johnny Lee and Johnny Cash. Chris had a passion for singing and looked for ways to develop his ability through church and choir. He joined the Marine Corps and still pursued his love for Country Music by performing where and when ever he could.
In 2002, Chris signed a two year contract with AMI Records, Nashville, TN. During his association with AMI, he recorded two songs in Nashville "Bittersweet" and "Say Anything".
"Bittersweet" was released to radio stations all over the U.S. and reached number 7 on the "Inside Country Charts". During the two years signed with AMI Records, Chris put together a band and traveled to Colorado where he perform two shows in Delta and Paonia. The band went out to California and started playing in local clubs like Ringers in Bonsall, The Community Center on San Onofre Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and Knuckleheads in San Clemente, California.
In 2005, the band had split up. Chris, still eager to get out and play, heard about a contest on the local radio staion called "The Colgate Country Showdown" He sent his demo of the two songs he recorded with AMI Records and received a response telling him he was one of the top five finalist that would perform at Incahoots in San Diego. Chris won the contest and advanced to the State Championships that was held at the L.A. Country Fair in Pomona. Five more contestants performed and Chris was chosen to represent Southern California at the Regionals which was held in Elko, Nevada. There he met his match, a young lady who eventually went on to win the competition being held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.
Chris is currently writing new material for his new band and you can catch them at different shows now throughout Southern California. For booking information, contact Chris Lozano at: [email protected]
