I don't need an essay to describe who I am. I need just one word- freedom.I don't need grades to learn because I have the freedom to study whatever interests me so I learn it well.I don't need violence to assert myself because I have the freedom to leave if people don't treat me with respect.I don't need drugs to escape because I have the freedom to go where I want.I don't need gangs to give me a sense of belonging because I have the freedom to develop real friendships with people of all ages who share the same passions I do.I don't need school to tell me who I am because I have the freedom to choose my life and my future.I am free!
