Kilo

Kilo were an Edinburgh based band that formed in early 2005 and played gigs around ye olde toon until about late 2006. The original lineup consisted of Sean Ormsby on vocals and guitar, Carey Walton on guitar, Fabien Pinardon on bass giutar, John LaCava on drums, Louis Crespin on percussion. The sound that was created involved the mutual musical merging of the diverse influences that can be expected considering that four different nationalities existed in a five piece band. The common ground of rock, funk, reggae, pop solidified the agenda. After helping to establish Kilo John left to become a man of science and his replacement came in the form of Derick 2 tins, whose fresh style of drumming realigned the sound .This was typified by a move away from a prog rock approach to a more laid back and groove based feel. The band came to an end in late 2006, and out of the ashes was born the Night Noise Team www.myspace.com/nightnoiseteam which consisted of Sean Fabien and Keith Kirkwood. Fabiens solo projects also got more time Flooze www.myspace.com/flooze and permwhale productions. www.permwhale.com Carey moved to New Zealand and continues to produce music as studio kindofgreen. www.myspace.com/studiokindofgreen Derick started a Juice bar in Edinburgh.
