Matt Koziol is not the kind of guy who will go out there and tell you he loves what he plays, he will just show you during a performance. He knows he is a little different from the norm, because the most normal response from a crowd is, “Are you sure you’re a white guy?†He has the uncanny ability to disguise his voice and let exactly what works for him come out without holding back. With roots and a voice transcendent of artists such as John Mayer and Stevie Wonder, there is no telling him which way is the right way, you just know its right when you get there.
Being that Matt is the laid back one of the group, bassist Anthony “King†Amato fills the void. “I get my own microphone just to entertain people during the shows, ‘cause I cant even singâ€. Anthony responds to questions after, during, and before shows about anything. His style has been compared to Jaco Pastorious, Flea, and Stefan Lessard, respectively, so adding a special taste to the lower end of music never felt so good.
Drummer Nick Veltre needs no introduction at all, as he used to be a front man of a band himself. Nick is an up and comming drummer, and is doing his best to hold his own.He may have alot of work ahead of him, but he is doing a great job! Backup vocalist Tracy James has been a member of a gospel choir with Matt for quite some time, with his style coming straight from church, where some of the best musicians on earth have come from.
If you take these four musicians and mix it together, you get one hell of a combination. From acoustic sing-a-long beach themes, to an old blues kick back vibe, all the way to gospel licks in the middle of a pop song, this band is a melting pot of talent. As for the future, only time will tell. Already, the calendar is filling up for this summer. These guys will always be the ones after a show looking for feedback and meeting new people. Matt says, “We love meeting new fans. They are the gateway to our success and we want to make sure they are happy at the end of the day.†The future is bright. Only time will tell…
