Just for the record, I have not always been saved!!!!
I know it’s surprising, but I was once the worst of the worst. I lived by my own set of rules and standards did what I wanted and when I wanted. In fact I didn’t always believe in God either. I had a dark past with an even darker future.
God revealed to me that his hand was not shortened that it could not save, and his ear was not heavy that he could not hear. The problem was with me, and even after salvation it took me a while to say, Lord change me.
People think that being a Christian, some how makes you weaker or inferior to other people.
However the opposite is true. It takes a true man to admit wrong and a strong man to welcome the consequences for that wrongdoing. The Lord promises strength through weakness and authority through meekness.
While we are out there trying to find our own way, we fail to realize that A WAY has already been provided for us. We get caught up in relationships, fads, gangs and all other kinds of drama that profit us nothing. By declaring that we are our own authority, we have already submitted to a higher authority, that isn't God.
We must learn to live with the fact that people are going to talk about us. It is a law of life. Everyone is not going to be happy with what you do, or how you live. Now I’m not saying that we shouldn’t hear other people when they tell us stuff about us, but rather, accept your hatters, it’s thanks to them that we do so well.
Most people do not know their value, and how high a price the Lord has placed on their lives. But the Lord has called his Children the light of the world and ambassadors for his kingdom. We are in no way weak, but warriors, called to the most destructive battle the world will ever see. Success in this war will be measured in how many times we were able to fall and get back up. Because great is he who has never fallen, but greater is he who has fallen but summoned the strength to get back up.
